Responsibilities

  • Fabricate dental prosthetics based on dentist prescriptions and patient specifications.
  • Create detailed models from impressions, ensuring accuracy in tooth and tissue representation for prosthetic fabrication.
  • Collaborate with dentists and other dental professionals to determine optimal prosthetic design, considering fit, function, and aesthetics.
  • Apply artistic skills to replicate natural tooth shapes, shades, and textures, achieving seamless integration with the patient's existing dentition.
  • Utilize a variety of dental materials, including, acrylics, metals, and composite resins, to construct prosthetics with the desired characteristics.
  • Select appropriate dental materials based on client needs, product specifications, and industry best practices. Evaluate material properties to ensure longevity, aesthetics, and compatibility with patients' oral health.
  • Perform meticulous quality assessments on completed prosthetics, evaluating fit, bite alignment, aesthetics, and overall functionality. Make necessary adjustments to achieve optimal outcomes, collaborating with clients when needed.
  • Follow stringent infection control protocols when handling oral impressions, dental models, and prosthetic materials to prevent contamination. Adhere to safety guidelines to protect staff, clients, and patients during the fabrication process.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in dental prosthetics, materials, and fabrication techniques through ongoing training and professional development.
  • Collaborate with fellow technicians and laboratory staff to exchange knowledge, troubleshoot challenges, and optimize workflow efficiency.
  • Maintain a well-organized and clean work area, including cleaning and maintaining dental laboratory equipment and tools.

 

Hours of Work

40 hours per week

We are open to considering candidates who wish to work compressed hours

Remuneration

£30,000 - £38,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
